I’ve been quite busy these days, rather these evenings and weekends with a few new projects. The first top I’ve completed is a yellow poppies.
This is a wonderful pattern created by Lenore Crawford. I learned so much from reading and following her pattern instructions.
The second project I’m working on is still in progress but I thought you might like to take a peek.
I really excited about this project for two reasons. One, I’m working on my favorite flower (the tulip) and two, these are the larges flowers I’ve done so far. The open tulip is approximately 30 inches. (Can you see my feet at the very bottom of the image?) My goal is to create extra large botanical themed quilts. I was so inspired by Melinda Bula’s book Cutting Garden Quilts and (she was a featured artist on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims) that I had to start making my own.
