I’m a partner in an advertising / marketing agency by day and an art quilter by night. I love fabric and have been sewing since I was a little girl. I began by making Barbie doll clothes and gradually worked my way up to making my own clothes. My sister Patty gave me my first sewing machine (a Sears Kenmore) the Christmas I was 12. I studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and received an Associate in Applied Science in fashion design, then I received a BFA with a concentration in graphic design at Winthrop University. I live in North Carolina with my wonderful husband and four (yes, four) kitty cats. My studio is kinda messy but it works for me. I love all types of fabric, especially batiks. I hope you will enjoy coming along on my art quilt adventure.
